Peter Cottontail

This card was made for someone special to me.  This is my first attempt at the resist technique, so please, go gentle.  I used the distress ink and blended them together over the embossed background.  Slow seems to be the word of this project.  The patience is worth it though when you see the beautifully blended colors.  This is something I need and want to practice more of.  I think it is just such an elegant look.  For the bling, I didn't have any of the color that I wanted, so I just colored the clear gems with a Bic marker.  I saw that on a YouTube video and just thought "What a great idea.  No more buying bling in every color".  Hope you all had a blessed Easter.  Keep crafting :)

Easter's On Its Way

I can't begin to tell you all how excited I was to get my order from Impression Obsession.  They came out with the most adorable Easter dies and stamps this season.  This card was made with the sole purpose of playing with my new dies.  The creative possibilities are endless.  This is definitely a card I'm proud to send.

All cuts were made with the Impression Obsession dies except the banner.  I just cut that by hand.  The basket was stamped on top of the cut with the soft brown ink.  The butterflies were lined with Stickles with bling in the center for a body.  The bunny tail was made with the liquid applique.  Just add a bit of heat after drying and it pops right up.  Great stuff for dimension.

Got Eggs?

Hi everyone.  I've been playing with all the new Easter dies, stamps and papers that I've recently acquired (since I'm a scrapaholic!).  This year, there have been so many really cute Easter items released.  This card was so much fun.  The new die/stamp set from My Creative Time is so stinkin' cute!  I love all of the stitched dies from them.  I wouldn't declare this a quick and easy, only because with how intricate the doily die is, is takes a bit of love to finish it.  So worth the effort though.  I love being able to have a doily that matches my project exactly.    Hope you are all having a wonderful day!
